Apply for our programs

Apply online for one of our courses after consulting with our CLC course coordinator. After that, you will receive a formal admissions letter from from CLC.

Visa and Processing Fee Payment

You'll need to pay for the Student Visa Processing Fee (or EMGS Fee) to CLC. Once the processing fee has been transferred to us, CLC will submit on your behalf the student’s visa application to Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) to process visa approval letter (VAL). The EMGS fee is MYR 2100.

You'll also need to provide us with these necessary documents for submission:● Copy/SCAN of your passport (a copy of every page of your passport) (Passport must have at least 1 Year validity)● COPY/SCAN of original high school academic transcripts and certificates copies and another set, translated in English and certified true copy)● Passport-size photograph with WHITE background (35mm x 45mm). Download Photo Guideline here

Get approval Letter from MOE and MID


Visa processing usually takes up to 21 days. Once approved, you will receive a letter from Malaysian Ministry of Education and Ministry of Immigration Department.You may be required to apply for an entry visa from the Malaysian Embassy in your country (depends on your country).

Tuition Fee Payment

Once you have received your student visa, we require you to pay one full term’s worth of tuition fees. Once your payment has been received, we will send you an original Letter of Student Visa Approval.

Make Travel Plans

Please inform CLC at least 7 days before departure for airport pick-up and accommodation availability.

After arrival

CLC representative will meet the students at airport.You are required to attend a medical screening at a EMGS panel clinic in Malaysia within 7 working days of your arrival date.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • If you are considering to register with Creative Language Center ( CLC) courses. Please check with your course coordinator before submitting your documents. The study visa is available for 6 months or 12 months depending on the course you are registering. 

  • The majority of CLC students study on one of the following 2 visas: a visitor visa or a student visa. With a visitor visa, you can study with us for 2-12 weeks, either part-time or full-time at your convenience. You will not be allowed to work but will be able to combine study and travel in Malaysia. To qualify for a student visa, you need to enrol for a minimum of 16 weeks full-time.

  • Yes, a placement test is compulsory for all new students to find your appropriate level.

  • Applying for a Malaysian student visa is quick and easy. Overall, the whole process from application to receiving your visa usually takes between four and six weeks.

    The Visa Approval Letter (VAL) processing time is 14 days, and the entry visa processing time is between one and three weeks.

    It's well worth starting your application as soon as possible just in case of any unforeseen delays.

  • International student employment rules are stricter in Malaysia compared to many other countries. You’re not permitted to work at any point during term-time.

  • Approximately 90% of student visa applications are accepted in Malaysia, giving the nation one of the globe’s highest approval rates. Very few applications are refused, but the most common reasons for rejection include missing information or inadequate financial resources.

    After receiving a negative decision, students can contact the immigration authorities and request a letter outlining the reasons for rejection.

    You can write to the Home Minister within 30 days to appeal against the decision, but there’s no guarantee you’ll be successful. Visa application fees are non-refundable, so make sure you're confident any future applications will be accepted.

  • You should renew your visa after 6 month, the cost is MYR 1400

Refund & Cancellation fees

1.  International Student Application and Visa Processing fee is not-refundable.2. Once a student has registered and applied for a visa, Creative Language Centre (CLC) will not be able to cancel the visa process and refund the application and visa processing fee.3. Course fee is not refundable once a student has registered for the course with Creative Language Centre (CLC).4. In case of cancellation, study course or tuition fee is NOT transferable to another applicant/student.5. If a student decides to stop study, he/she would NOT be able to transfer the tuition fee to another applicant/student.6. If a student decides to stop his/her study due to any conditions mentioned above and applied for a student visa, the Visa Application fee is NOT refundable7. If a student registers and does not attend the class and does NOT inform the center that he/she is willing to cancel study, the total amount paid will be forfeited (NOT refundable).8. If a student registers for 6 months study and attends the class for any period of time after the term commence and then decides to cancel but he/she does NOT inform the centre, the total amount paid will be forfeited (NOT refundable).9. In the event of a new visa being rejected or revoked by governmental authorities, such as immigration, customs, the Ministry of Education, etc., the center will not refund the visa fees.10. The centre cannot be held responsible if a student applies for a six-month visa but the authorities choose to grant a shorter term visa. Should the applicant exceed the age of 25, a referral letter detailing the applicant’s study plan and purpose must also be submitted.11. All students MUST attend at least 80% of their classes.12. Students who have been absent for 2 months consecutively without a valid reason, will have their visas canceled.
